Ryanair Ltd. has ordered ten (10) additional B737 NG Fixed Base Simulators from MPS. This order comes after the successful completion of a 1-year trial of three MPS simulators, which have been installed at Ryanair’s training facilities in Dublin and East Midlands. During this trial period these state of the art Fixed Base Simulators not only met Ryanair’s rigorous training requirements but were also used for the initial rollout of Ryanair’s unique Controlled Training program, which allows pilots to practice their flying skills in a relaxed environment, without the direct supervision of a flight instructor. The additional Fixed Base Simulators will be installed at Ryanair training facilities in Bergamo, Stansted and Madrid and at other locations throughout the base network.
Ryanair Chief Operations Officer Mick Hickey: “This order for ten additional fixed base Simulators follows a successful 1 year trial and excellent feedback from our pilot group. The ongoing investment in MPS state of the art high fidelity B737-NG FTD Fixed Base Simulator technology continues Ryanair’s commitment to improve upon its already industry leading pilot training standards. The MPS product sets a new standard in Fixed Base Simulator technology and these simulators will ensure that our pilots continue to have the highest standards of training. These simulators will be used in a variety of training and operational roles including Ryanair’s unique and industry leading Controlled Training program and will complement the training done in our full motion simulators.
