MPS has installed a second B737 MAX device at Ryanair’s training center located in Dublin, Ireland. The FTD-2 was ordered by Ryanair in January after successful integration and EASA qualification of its first MPS B737 MAX FTD-2 including FNPT-II/MCC in the last year.
The order and install of a second MPS MAX device comes at a critical time of retraining need and travel demand increase across the globe. Ryanair currently employs over 5,000 pilots who train at several state-of-the-art flight simulator facilities across Europe. At these training centers Ryanair operates numerous MPS B737 NG FTD’s, all of which support the new training paradigm identified in EASA NPA 2020-15. They also have a MPS A320 FTD.
With the proper training on proper devices, the Ryanair team is prepared to fly to over 40 countries, 230 airports and operate 2,500 daily flights this summer.
