Oman Aviation Academy (OAA) has recently received FTD-1 including FNPT-II/MCC qualification. EASA performed the qualification on the MPS Boeing 737 MAX FTD. The simulator is located at Sohar Airport in Oman and is the first of its kind in the region. OAA uses the device for high quality MAX training and also offers an EASA integrated ATPL training program. The device will be available for airlines and operators to train their pilots during the return to service for the MAX.
